New Stained or Faceted Glass Windows
The consulting services of our staff and artists are available to all of
our clients. Our team of International, Studio and Freelance designers
can assist you, your committee and/or architect in any style and medium you
may require. Once style, subject matter and budgets have been
established we would be please to submit a colored rendering and
estimate at no cost or obligation.
Restoration of Stained Glass Windows
Rohlf’s Studio is one of America’s most respected stained glass studio’s
for historic preservation, having restored some of America’s finest
cathedrals, houses of worship and institutions. We will be pleased to
provide a survey of your windows. We will submit a condition report with
specifications for total restoration and a cost estimate for the work
involved.
Protective Glazing
For the preservation of your stained glass, Rohlf’s Studio adheres to
the principal of using clear float, safety or tempered glass along with
the proper venting system.
Wood Replication
Rohlf’s Studio can fabricate custom wood frames to duplicate any
original historic profiles. We use the finest mahogany available to
engineer each system to withstand the proper wind loads.
New Aluminum Frames
Rohlf’s Studio can provide and install new custom aluminum frames,
either single, double, or triple glazed, thermally broken using ¼” or ¾”
to 1” insulated glass. All custom frames are engineered for wind loads
and can be produced in virtually any shape or size.
Steel Casement: Frames and Door for
Residential and Commercial Use
Rohlf’s Studio can furnish and install or retrofit steel casements for
any architectural setting. Where historical and landmark designation
must be maintained, we can provide the proper steel windows to meet your
design requirements along with custom hardware if needed. Rohlf’s can
also retrofit existing steel windows when removed and brought to our
studio. Windows are stripped, sandblasted, and are finished using a
baked-on finish.
Insulated Lead Tape Glass Panels / Triple
Glazed Leaded Glass
We provide lead tape insulated units in a Tudor or Colonial style from
5/8” to 1” thick, hermetically sealed. Lead sizes can vary from 1/4” to
7/8”. Panels can be taped on surfaces 1 and 2, or 1 and 4. Panels can also
be provided with an individual look to each pane. All joints are
soldered to create authentic leaded glass look.
